Quay Assessment Training Ltd is committed to ensuring we carry out our training in a way that is environmentally responsible and it should take the opportunity to protect and nurture the environment by exercising proper control over its activities, will promote the use of sustainable resources and discourage wasteful or damaging practices.

Sustainability is one of our corporate values. It is a process of ensuring the wise use of all resources within a framework in which economic, environmental and social factors are integrated and balanced. This means improving the quality of life both now and for generations to come. We are currently applying for the Green Mark to help instil this ethos throughout the business.

How will we do this at Quay ?
  • Conserving energy and giving preference to renewable sources wherever practicable
  • creating a high quality working environment through the discouragement of litter, graffiti and noise pollution;
  • maintaining Quays facilities in an environmentally sensitive way;
  • as a minimum, comply with the requirements of relevant legislation;
  • making efficient and environmentally responsible use of energy and water;
  • encouraging all employees to improve their awareness of the environment and become more environmentally responsible
  • promoting sound environmental management policies and practices throughout Quay
  • promoting environmentally responsible procurement of goods and services reducing and, where practicable, preventing pollution;
  • minimising the impact of transport on the environment by encouraging staff to use public transport
  • Raising awareness of staff of Quays environmental impact, activities and performance and promoting individual good practice.
  • practising of responsible energy management through reduced consumption and the encouragement of energy efficiency throughout the company;
  • encouraging the use of public transport and the provision of facilities for the disabled;
  • minimising waste by reduced consumption and the development of effective waste management and recycling procedures;
  • avoiding the unnecessary use of hazardous materials and processes, and the taking of all reasonable steps to prevent damage to either public or ecological health where such materials are in essential use;
